Your business details and logo

Everything under Settings → Business is shown to your customers: on the bid page, on the PDF, and in the emails Flow sends for you. Only someone who can change the shop's settings (an owner, unless you've granted it) can edit it. Each field saves as you leave it.

Business info

  • Business name, Email, Phone and Address appear at the top of every bid. A bid can't be sent until the name, phone and email are filled in.
  • Contractor license number is printed on customer bids and PDFs. Leave it blank to omit it.

Your logo goes at the top of every bid page, PDF and email. Without one, your business name stands in for it.

  1. Under Branding, click Upload logo.
  2. Pick the file: a PNG or JPEG, up to 2 MB. A square or wide logo on a white or transparent background looks best.
  3. It appears as soon as it has uploaded. Customer bid pages and emails show your current logo, even on bids you've already sent. A PDF that was already made keeps the logo it was made with.

To change it, click Replace logo and pick the new file. To take it off, click Remove logo.

Why not SVG or WebP? The bid PDF can only draw PNG and JPEG. Most design tools can export either; ask whoever made your logo for a PNG.

Already have your logo hosted somewhere? Paste its address into Or paste a link to your logo instead. An uploaded logo is simpler: nothing breaks if that other site changes.

If you take payments through your own page (Stripe, Venmo, PayPal, an ACH bill), paste its address under Pay-online URL and the customer sees it beside the deposit. Flow doesn't take part in the payment.

How your bids show prices

Two settings here are the starting point for every new bid:

  • Show a price next to each line item on the customer bid — on by default. Off, the customer sees the work and one total.
  • Show a total for each room on the customer bid — off by default. On, a bid built room by room groups the work by room with each room's price.

Each bid can change either one beside Send bid (see Building a bid). A bid already sent keeps the shape it was sent with.

Reminding the customer before the work date

Under Customer reminders, choose how many days before a scheduled job's start date the customer gets an email reminding them you're coming. It's off (0) until you turn it on.

  • The reminder goes out in the morning, once per date. If you move the start date, the customer is reminded about the new one.
  • Only a job that's scheduled (the customer confirmed the date) gets one. A job that's archived, already started or finished does not.
  • What the reminder says is your chance to tell them how to cancel or reschedule. Your phone number and email are added for you.
  • A customer with no email address on file doesn't get one.

Each reminder sent shows in the job's history.
